Dan discusses his disdain for the term Toxic masculinity, and we discuss men’s mental health and how having a safe space to talk to other men is helping reduce the stigma and shame felt around male suicide. Our firm belief is that we must distinguish between masculinity conversions and toxic masculinity terms when discussing masculinity.

We are in huge danger of silencing men if we continue to mix these terms together, as they are more likely to believe that speaking up about life problems makes no sense because they might think they will be labelled as toxic masculinity just because they are considered to be a typical bloke, which will make them think they won't be able to talk about it.
