International Men’s Day with Greater Anglia

  • Greater Anglia Thorpe Road Norwich, England, NR1 1EF United Kingdom (map)

We’re thrilled to share that on 19th November, in honour of International Men’s Day, Dan will be joining the dedicated railworkers of Greater Anglia for an important discussion on men’s mental health. This event is part of a broader initiative to recognise and support men's mental, physical, and emotional well-being in the workplace.

At MANUP?, we’ve always believed that the key to addressing mental health challenges lies in open, honest conversations. Too often, men feel the need to bottle up their emotions, thinking they need to be “strong” by staying silent. Our mission is to change that narrative. We educate men on the importance of speaking up and seeking help when struggling. But equally important is the role of listening—being there for each other, lending an ear, and providing a supportive space where no one feels judged or alone.

During this event, Dan will focus on the unique pressures men face, particularly in demanding jobs like those in the rail industry. He’ll talk about the importance of recognising when things aren’t quite right and how to access the resources available to make a positive change. This isn’t just about talking; it’s about creating an environment where listening and understanding are just as valued.

We know that addressing mental health in the workplace isn’t just a nice-to-have; it’s essential. By fostering a culture where men feel comfortable discussing their mental health, we can help prevent issues from escalating and ensure that everyone has the support they need to thrive. We’re honoured to be a part of Greater Anglia’s commitment to their workforce’s well-being and look forward to making a real difference.

Stay tuned as we continue our efforts to support men’s mental health across various industries, ensuring that every man knows it’s okay to talk—and just as important—to listen.
